Yes, the low-relief effect of etched forms gives a very ' classical' look to this one - enhanced by the sumptuous gradient, from ashy bue in the upper corners to muted red in the mid-centre.Your 'leafy' elements look like ancient palm fans with long, supple handles, and the whole central part of the fractal looks like a piling of grosteque faces, like farce masks, two characters with conic heads, furious eyes and big, raging mouths, and a third one under, like a squatting caricature of an old Chinese mandarin with a long thin mutache....
You may be 'stuck' with etched forms and mutations, but you're doing wonders with them...

All three of these last ones were cut and mirrored etc. from a single fractal which wasn't very pretty on its own.
