The background reminds me of some flocked wallpaper I had in my childhood's bedroom in our former apartment (the appartment flat next door!). I found it old-fashioned, then, and 'girly'. And I hated wallpapers, anyway. But it hid crags in the walls and ceiling, since the street climbs steeply toward Montmartre, and most walls move and slide very slowly dowhill, so that nothing is ever straight or flat, floors, walls and ceilings. It was a rather conventional, but very strange appartment....
The Gerbera remind me of my 'burnished sunflower' comment of one of your former manipulations. Yes, that must definitely have been a Gerbera... :D

Yep... and there are LOADS of gerbera stock photos all over the place... I don't know what it is about that flower... Not particularty exotic or beautiful with its unsubtle and plastic-looking orange.... But there you are.... a VERY popular flower! :O_o: :rose:

They make good stock probably because the petals are easy to cut away from the background.
You need clear edges to erase behind then with the eraser tool. It will respect the edge automatically which is very useful.
